Thanks so much for sharing!! I was really young but still remember the conversations around this album cover and I agree, she truly pushed boundaries with this; Not waiting around to be accepted but creating her own space in Hip-Hop.

I remember like it was yesterday when I 1st heard thys album in MIDDLE SCHOOL 😂🤦🏾‍♂️. .. I knew Right away, she was my Fav female MC 🫰🏾😎.

I was in 6th grade when this album came out. My fake big sister worked at Beat street and got me the promo poster, my dad let me hang it up in my room. It was up! Also, that’s an amazing album and truly set the tone for artist today.

Lil’ Kim will be turning 50 next week, so the timing of this post couldn’t have been better. This cover and imagery definitely shifted hip hop’s feminine aesthetic. Thanks for sharing!

Yes! I was originally going to post this next week but I decided against it! I was moved to post it this week. But It’s amazing to think that many in hip hop don’t see 50.

Also she needs to be given all the flowers! Definitely a pioneer
